I need to write more often

It has probably been 20 years since I last had a blog. I loved doing it when the kids were little as a way to keep our family up to date on what was going on. I need to get back into the habit of writing more often.

This past week has been all about networking for me. I spoke with a dear friend who owns Baby Realz in Leesburg, VA. It’s a non-diagnostic 3D ultrasound place for pregnant mommas and daddies who can’t wait until the next official ultrasound to see their baby. I’m helping promote her through my job, and she’s displaying one of my ultrasound keepsakes. The same night, I spoke to the owner of a local bar, Tarbenders, who my husband and I used to work with. I did a sample etching of his logo on a bourbon glass, which is just about perfect for the “speakeasy” atmosphere. It sounds like they are going to purchase from me as well. Then I got an email from a fellow business owner who is very successful. Val and her husband own ResQ BBQ in Leesburg. She needed a few pint glasses etched just for use behind the bar.

Lastly, I went to customer appreciation night at Spanky’s in Leesburg. My favorite hangout!! While there, I spoke with the general manager and owner about possibly making pint glasses for the St. Patrick’s Day swag bag they sell with VIP passes each year. So far, nothing concrete, but I feel good about the conversations I had.

My current project for this weekend was to make more business cards, but alas, I bought an inferior metal card, and they didn’t look great. I have a few other options, hopefully arriving tonight, that I can try out. Obviously, I’m not putting anything out there I would not be proud to claim.

I feel like the hardest part of setting up a new business/webpage is finding new viewers and followers. Obviously, I can’t make money if people don’t know I exsist. I am so thankful to Val Bender for helping me get my name out there.

Please visit the website of those mentioned above!! I would love to share the love with them.
